Another record breaking year of GCSE results at St Teilo’s
St Teilo’s Church in Wales High School is again celebrating improved examination results. Year 11 have attained the highest grades in the school’s history across every performance measure.
Almost 70% of students achieved A*-C across English, Mathematics and Science, 80% achieved the Skills Challenge Certificate at Level 2 with an overall Welsh Baccalaureate measure of 59%. The school’s outstanding results make it one of the highest performing in the country when compared to similar schools.
Among the many pupils celebrating are Nada Ammar and Alaa Cattaeh (14 A*/A), Millie Searing and Oliver Smith (13 A*/A), Maisha Chowdhury (12 A*/A) and Ewan Falcon and Matthew Tyler-Howells (10 A*/A). Congratulations are also deserved by Sania Chowdhury, Kian Cook, Milan Jacob, Can Oran, Emily Pearcey, Keiran Thomas and Bethan Watkins who attained 8 or more A*/A grades.
Headteacher, Ceri Weatherall said, “These fantastic results are a testimony to the hard work of our brilliant pupils and staff. I am particularly delighted that the performance of our most vulnerable learners, along with our most able, continues to rise year on year.
