Correcting uniform
From the Headteacher
Parents and carers receiving a direct link to this update are advised that their child has been identified as falling short of our expectations for uniform on a number of recent occasions. Uniform plays an important role in creating a cohesive community with a shared identity and ambition. It also allows us to keep children safe because everybody on the school site who belongs is identifiable.
The home-school contract commits parents and carers to ensuring that their child attends school in full and correct uniform. I would therefore be grateful for your immediate support in correcting the matter.
By way of reminder, all children must wear:
On their feet
- Any shoes which are entirely black. These can be leather school shoes, canvas shoes or trainers - but they must be fully black.
- Plain black socks.
On their bottom half
Either:
- Traditional, classic, tailored school wear trousers or skirt in plain black.
Or:
- Any St Teilo's branded item (such as shorts, leggings, skort or tracksuit bottoms).
On their top half:
- Any St Teilo's branded items (such as t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, zipped tops or sportswear).
Purchasing school uniform
All branded school uniform is available to purchase directly from the school during the school day. Payment may be made in cash or by card or contactless transaction. You can find current prices here.
Non-branded items (such as school wear trousers or skirts) can be brought from many supermarkets or high street shops.
Shoes can be purchased at the discretion of families, but must be entirely black.
Next steps
We ask families to correct matters as soon as possible and will check again in the week commencing 3 November 2025. Branded items may be purchased in school and the half term break provides a helpful opportunity to source other items.
