Parent Governor Elections

There are currently three vacancies for parent governors on the Governing Body of St Teilo's Church in Wales High School. Six parents have put themselves forward for election. You can remind yourself about the role of parent governors here. The candidate statements are given below.

Mrs Charlotte Squire Davies

As a local resident I am familiar with the challenges faced by schools and would like an opportunity to contribute to the school’s development and success. I would like to work with the community to make sure that the needs of all students are met regardless of background or circumstances.

Mr Greg Grimaldi

Hi. I would like to support my (Year 8) son’s stunning school through this important governor role. I’m a language tutor, so I feel I can contribute usefully as a critical friend particularly regarding curriculum, targets and outcomes. In my free time, I also run a grassroots junior football team!

Mr Neil Whittington

As a youth leader at my Church and as a previous Scout leader of 10 years, I have experience working with young people and can support the school in making life changing decisions to support our young people. I have over 10 years’ experience in sitting on and chairing committees.

Mrs Ruji Robbani

My child has just joined the school in Year 7. I work in education and feel I have the skills alongside my passion for making a difference to children’s lives, to help influence the direction of our children’s learning.

Mrs Shameem Nawaz-Javed

With a child at either end of their high school education, I have experienced the school at different stages. I am passionate about: hearing the voices of parents and young people; services that take into account the wishes of people they serve; equality, diversity and fairness.

Ms Sharon Anne Woodward

I am very passionate about Education and the welfare of our children. I am standing in the election for the opportunity to be a voice for the families of the students. If elected I will be the voice that carries your issues and concerns.
