UK COVID-19 Inquiry

The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has been set up to examine the UK’s response to and impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and learn lessons for the future. The inquiry is now hearing from Welsh Government officials, politicians and experts about how the pandemic was handled in Wales.

From 27 February 2024 to 14 March 2024, the UK COVID Inquiry will base its hearings in the Mercure Cardiff North Hotel on Circle Way East. You will notice a police and media presence as you journey to and from the school and there will also be officials from Cardiff Council helping to manage traffic flow.

An increase in traffic is inevitable, particularly in the morning. If you are able to approach St Teilo's from another direction, for example via Pentwyn, then this would be advised. Likewise, you will need to park sensibly if you are collecting your child as sections of Circle Way East may no longer be available to you. If you choose to park in Roundwood or Bryn Y Nant, please do be considerate to our neighbours.

Now would be a great time to encourage active travel. If your child is able to walk or cycle to school, they should do so. This has benefits for their health, the environment and your wallet!

Should you have any queries or concerns, please contact us in the usual way.
