DebateMate Celebration

Our school debating teams have been offered a late opportunity to take part in a special event at Cardiff University Business School on Tuesday 16 December 2025. Although short notice, we'd very much like to take up the challenge!

This trip will celebrate the fantastic debating efforts of students who have been working in partnership with Debate Mate and Girl Guiding UK. There will be an opportunity to take part in two debate rounds with other participating schools. Those who do not wish to join in the showcase debates will provide support to the teams and act as audience members.

A packed lunch and perfect uniform will be needed. If you'd like us to provide a packed lunch for your child, please ask!

All costs will be met by the school and the trip takes place within the school day.

A professional videographer and photographer will be present to capture the event. In permitting your child to attend the trip, you are consenting to the image of your child being captured.
