Hustings

A number of children from St Teilo's will take part in political hustings this week, in preparation for May's Senedd elections. This event will be hosted by our friends at Mary Immaculate High School.

Questions will be asked to a panel comprising:

  • Callum Davies [Conservative]
  • Anthony Slaughter [Green]
  • Peter Bradbury [Labour]
  • Rodney Berman [Liberal Democrats]
  • Zaynub Akbar [Plaid]
  • Neil McEvoy [Propel]
  • Joseph Martin [Reform]

Please note that there will be a press presence.

Students have already drafted questions such as, "Is your politics the politics of inclusion or the politics of division?" and, "Should political education be mandated in schools to increase youth participation rates in our democracy?" We hope the panel are ready for this tough audience!

All costs and transport arrangements will be met by the school, and the trip takes place during the normal school day.
