I know that, right now, you are very much focused on preparations for examinations. This is a really pressured time requiring a great deal of discipline and fortitude – so it is always good to have something nice to look forward to!

We are delighted to be able to host a Year 11 prom on Thursday 22 June 2023 at Cardiff City Stadium. There will be a sit down meal, treats and a great disco (of course)!

The cost for the prom will be £45. Payment must be made in full to Mrs Williams directly, in cash or by cheque (made payable to ‘St Teilo’s Amenities’). If payment before Friday 12 May 2023 will be difficult for you, please do reach out to me directly.

I need to point out that attendance to prom is a privilege, not a right. Your acceptance to prom will require excellent attendance, punctuality and behaviour between 27 March 2023 and 16 June 2023. This provides every student with a completely fresh start.

As a reminder, going forward you must be deemed to have each of excellent attendance, excellent punctuality and excellent behaviour in order to attend prom. Otherwise, with regret, I will issue a refund and withdraw your place.

Your teachers are excited about celebrating your successes with you. Until then, stay focused and work hard. In the words of the late, great Pelé:
