Digital disruption

St Teilo's is experiencing a continuing period of digital disruption. The causes are complex and range from spam attacks to the integration of data with the new Management of Information System.

Emails

At present, the school cannot send or receive emails. If you have contacted us and not received a reply, please be patient. This disruption is new and in addition to our ongoing challenge with contacting Google-managed accounts. Our technical team are aware of the difficulties and working to resolve them. The Headteacher is overseeing broader changes to introduce new, more secure systems for the future.

ParentPay

The majority of ParentPay issues (particularly affecting new Year 7 students) have been resolved. A very small number remain and are being addressed individually. Any child experiencing difficulty with paying for meals in school (for whatever reason) can seek support from the senior staff at the help point in the dining hall. Food is always provided - no child need go without.

Timetables

All timetabling issues (including some periods showing as blank) are now resolved. Any pupil experiencing timetabling difficulties should speak with their Head of Year.

A copy of the latest letter from the Headteacher can be found here. It includes updates, frequently asked questions, and the annual parent quick guide. Please do take some time to engage with the content.

The rollout of the Arbor app continues this year. You can find instructions to download the app here. Over time, the app will become our key communication resource. Difficulties with logging in are typically caused because the school does not hold a correct email address for a parent or guardian. Please be sure that you have kept your details updated. You can message the school within the Arbor app and the inbox is monitored daily.

The sitewide ban on mobile phones is now in effect. From Monday 14 September 2026, after a transitional week for implementation, the Headteacher will begin to apply consequences for those not following the rules. A reminder of the school's expectations can be found here

Thank you for your bearing with us!

Whilst our digital systems have caused some disruption to the beginning of the new school year, the day-to-day operation of the school is unaffected. It has been a calm, happy and focused first week!
