Final uniform roll-out

Our school community is adapting to the rather unique #TeamTeilo approach to uniform. In this final roll-out, we would like to offer a chance to order new uniform for September.

Order now, pay later!

New order forms are being handed out to pupils in hard copy this week.

Please complete your order and ask your child to return it to us at first break in the main hall. The deadline for orders is Wednesday 17 July 2024.

No payment is required for this order. Payment can be made upon collection of items in September.

What must children wear?

On your feet

  • Any shoes which are entirely black (these can be leather shoes, canvas shoes or trainers).
  • Plain black socks.

On your bottom half

Either:

  • Traditional, classic, tailored school trousers or skirt in black.

Or:

  • Any St Teilo's branded item (such as shorts, leggings, skort or tracksuit bottoms).

On your top half

  • Any St Teilo's branded items (such as t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts or sportswear).

We are open until 6pm on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September (before term begins) for the collection of uniform. Payment can be made in cash or by debit or credit card upon collection.

Not a problem! Any unused items can be exchanged at school.

Children can wear any St Teilo’s branded top and bottoms for PE lessons. We recommend that you bring a change of clothes on days when you have PE lessons. As a minimum, a skort or pair of shorts is suggested.

You will need at least one outer top (hoodie, sweatshirt or sports jacket) though we recommend a couple. You will also need a few inner tops (cotton t-shirts, sport t-shirts or polo shirts).

You will need at least one of the different bottoms we offer for your PE lessons (usually shorts or a skort). If you would like to wear any of our branded bottoms during the school day, then we recommend getting a few items. Most children still wear traditional school trousers or skirt during the day (as these can be sourced from supermarkets, for example).

Sizes are given on the order form for either chest or waist. Items are available to try on for children at first break each day in the hall.

All items can be exchanged free of charge for another size. Just bring the unused items back to us and we’ll do the rest!

All branded items can only be bought directly from the school. Other traditional school wear (such as shoes, socks, trousers and skirts) can be bought from supermarkets or other such clothing providers.

As we phase out our old uniform, we are happy for children to wear either the previous or new uniform. After this roll-out, only the new uniform will be available.

Our current approach is certainly popular with young people. As time goes on, we will look to expand our range and we will do that in consultation with young people and families. If there are items you would like to see added, let us know!

Uniform for new Sixth Formers can be ordered directly with the school during enrolment in August (with payment in September upon collection). This year's enrolment is on 22 August 2024 (GCSE results day).

From September, after this initial roll-out, the school will be operating a uniform shop and items can be purchased as and when needed.

You can remind yourself about our approach to uniform here.
