Year 11 Prom

We wrote to families on 17 February and 1 May about the Year 11 Prom, and the requirement for excellent attendance, punctuality and behaviour as a condition for attendance.

We offered every child as completely fresh start from 4 March to ensure that there would be no barrier to celebrating with friends.

A small number of children haven't managed to maintain excellent attendance, punctuality or behaviour since that time. However, we have spoken directly with each individual and offered another chance to put things right. We're delighted that children have accepted our offer.

In receiving this message, your child has been invited to school to pay back to the community and secure their place at prom. Their options are:

Option 1: Year 6 Transition Days

Attend school on Monday 23 June and Tuesday 24 June in full and correct uniform from 8.30am until 1.30pm. Volunteers will support a group of young children, providing support, advice and guidance.

Option 2: Landscaping

Attend school on Wednesday 25 June in casual clothes from 9.00am until 3.00pm. Volunteers will support the Estates Team in digging up box hedging and tidying the school site (equipment provided).

This type of generous service is character-building and helps young people to understand that privileges must be earned.

We thank you for your continued support and, following this community service, look forward to celebrating with your child at the Prom.
