Year 11 Prom

Preparing for examinations can be a really difficult time for young people. Pupils, staff and families all need to double their efforts as we journey through these final few weeks - so it is always good to have something nice to look forward to!

We are delighted to be able to host a Year 11 prom on Thursday 20 June 2024 at Cardiff City Stadium. There will be a sit down meal, treats and a great disco of course!

The cost for the prom will be £50. Payment must be made in full to Mrs Phillips directly, in cash or by cheque (made payable to ‘St Teilo’s Amenities’). If payment before Friday 10 May 2024 will be difficult for you, please do reach out to me directly.

I need to point out that attendance to prom is a privilege, not a right. A child's acceptance to prom will require excellent attendance, punctuality and behaviour between 5 March 2024 and 18 June 2024. This provides every student with a completely fresh start. I met with Year 11 today to discuss why this was so important.

As a reminder, going forward pupils must be deemed to have each of excellent attendance, excellent punctuality and excellent behaviour in order to attend prom. Otherwise, with regret, I will issue a refund and withdraw the place.

Our teachers are excited about celebrating success with all of Year 11. Until then, I ask that everybody stays focused and works hard.
